Prior to his tenure at First Church, George served at one of America's largest and fastest growing churches with over 10,000 members today (16th fastest/46th largest-Outreach Magazine 2013), under Pastor Andy Thompson, of World Overcomers Christian Church in Durham, North Carolina. While there he served in various positions that afforded him the opportunity to impact thousands of youth and young adults as he served and led in their youth, young adult, and college ministry.

Inspired by his grandmother, Pastor Clarice Chambers, commitment to education, George too developed a love for learning. Formally theologically trained George received a Masters of Divinity from Duke Divinity School in Durham, NC, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with a concentration in pre-law from North Carolina A & T and a continuing education certificate from Princeton Theological Seminary institute in developing youth and leadership. Pastor George is currently pursuing his Ph.D in Organizational and Strategic leadership at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida.

George believes that he was purposed and prepared to be a resounding voice of change within the body of Christ, and has been strategically placed in this season and in this moment to change how we do “church” and 21st Century Ministry. More importantly his goal and his passion is to preach a Real, Relevant, and Radical word that inspires youth and young adults to be souled out for God.

Aside from ministry there is one thing that he does love greater and that’s the love for his family, his wife Cheylaina, his children George L. Fultz III, Rosario, and Cairo.
